1. Negotiates Détente with Cuba - Pope Francis flexed his foreign policy muscles by helping play a role in the historic change in US-Cuba relations.
2. Helping the Homeless - In the true spirit of giving, Pope Francis received 400 sleeping bags with the seal of the Vatican sewed on as his birthday present that were then distributed to needy in Rome.
3. Wants More Gender Balance in the Church - Pope Francis spoke to an Italian women's group in January, praising the "indispensable role" of women in the church.
4. Answers Pet Owners Prayers - The pope made believers out of pet lovers when he hinted dogs will be allowed through the pearly gates of heaven.
5. Blasts Vatican Bureaucrats with his Christmas Address - Most people send out thoughtful notes and warm wishes during the holiday season. Pope Francis is not most people.

The UFN issued four stamps to mark the beginning of Pope Francis' second year as pope. The images reflect the Pope's participation in events during 2013. The values cover rates to Italy, the European Union, the Americas, and Asia/Oceania. The inscription on each is Papa Francesco, Anno II, MMXV.
