The cover features the Lateran Palace, the site of the treaty's signature, along with the basilica. The postal indicia displays the coat of arms of the Vatican State. The €1,10 postal card depicts Our Lady of Lourdes (Vatican Gardens) which recalls the 11 February date of the Blessed Virgin's appearance at Lourdes, the date also being when the Vatican Accords were signed in 1929. This design also includes the coats of arms of Pius XI and Pius XII. The €1,15 card reproduces the Vatican City flag and part of the score of Charles Gounod's "Pontifical Anthem and March" (Italian: Inno e Marcia Pontificale), the State's official anthem. The coat of arms of Pope John XXIII and Pope Paul VI are included in the design. The perimeter of the walls surrounding Vatican City State is depicted on the €2,40 postcard. Also included are the coat of arms of Pope John Paul I and Pope John Paul II. The design also includes Arnolfo di Cambio's statue of St. Peter and the Holy Spirit window from St. Peter's Basilica. The design of the €3,00 postcard includes the statue of St Michael the Archangel from the Vatican Gardens and the coats of arms of Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. See: James C.
