Dear VPS Friends, It is with great sadness that I report to you the death of VPS Associate Editor Jim Hamilton on June 1, 2021. I knew that Jim had gone into the hospital about 10 days ago for emergency abdominal surgery that was successful and was released last week. Apparently, he had to go back into the hospital due to an unspecified cause and quickly became critical and passed. Jim would have celebrated his 80th birthday later this month. I have worked closely with Jim as a friend for nearly a dozen years. He has been simply extraordinary in his abilities as a writer and researcher and in his overall service to the VPS.
