Each year the members of the Vatican Philatelic Society are asked to cast a vote for their favorite article that appeared in the Vatican Notes. What is the Veritas Award – The Veritas Award recognizes those volunteer members who researched and submitted articles to be published in the Vatican Notes. VPS members are asked to vote for their ‘favorite’ nominated article published in the preceding 12 months. The award was established in the early 1990's. Veritas means 'TRUTH'. Therefore, it is a fitting name for the award. Who selects the articles that are nominated – The editor of the Vatican Notes selects the articles nominated for the Veritas Award.
