A Confusing Postmark

Marvin Lanahan

This is an interesting postmark from 1930. There are seven lines and two corners in the bottom moon. Unfortunately, determining the line count in the top moon is impossible. The top and bottom of the postmark are separated by six-pointed stars. It has a broken lower horizontal line on the right side.

None of the handstamp types listed in the VPS Postmark notebook that have moon lines show a broken center horizontal line.

Do you have one in your collection? If so, please contact me at mlanahan404@comcast.net. It would be terrific to find another example.
