Microsoft has been making a lot of changes to their Windows 11 software lately. Recently they made a change that made that might help stamp collectors. The Microsoft Paint program has been around for years. This image editor is good tool for cropping pictures, especially postmarks from stamp covers, and stamp images. Recently Microsoft added a button to remove the background from images. It was tried on the postmark below and you can see the results.     It did a pretty good job of clearing up the postmark, although the VA in VATICANO was washed out a bit. Give it a try and then upload your postmark to the VPS Cancellation Research Project (see link from VPS website, member page menu bar, Reference tab, Postmark option).
