Call to Exhibitors!
Vatican Stamp Day 2024

CALLING ALL EXHIBITORS! VATICAN STAMP DAY 2024 IS COMING!!

As we enter the month of May, plans are starting to take shape for the Vatican Stamp Day to be held at the Spellman Museum of Stamps and Postal History, on the campus of Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. The event will be held on Saturday, October 19 from noon until 5 PM.

As part of the event, we will be displaying some of the truly unique Roman State and Vatican City stamps and postal history items currently stored in the Museum’s vault (items we like to call “The Treasures from the Vault”). The Vatican Philatelic Society has a singular opportunity to bring these items out of the Vault for the day and provide the public a chance to see some truly remarkable material. I am not going to spoil the surprise but take it from me I have been blown away by some of the outstanding philatelic gems I have had the opportunity to view as we have been preparing for our day at Spellman.

In addition to the Museum material, we would also like to provide VPS members the opportunity to display exhibits that they may have compiled and displayed in the past, or new exhibits that they may be working on and would like to present on Vatican Stamp Day. Due to space limitations, and the wish to display articles from the Spellman archives, any member-submitted exhibits would need to be limited to one frame, which hopefully allows for ample space to create and display material.

If you have an interest in displaying an exhibit at Vatican Stamp Day at Spellman, please let me know at: Lou Giorgetti, lfg7187@comcast.net

We are hoping our day at Spellman will be a fun, educational, and rewarding experience for everyone who attends. We look forward to hearing from you as well as seeing you in October.
