The Vatican State (www.vaticanstate.va) presented an online news article last week promoting the release of the latest Vatican City stamps, issued on May 8. In addition, the article made note of a special postmark for the 104th celebration of German Catholics' Day. On Saturday, the Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, released the following declaration regarding a planned trip by Pope Leo to France: "Announcement of Apostolic Journey to France. In response to the invitation extended by the Head of State and ecclesiastical authorities of the country, and by the Director General of UNESCO, the Holy Father Leo XIV will undertake an Apostolic Journey to France from 25 to 28 September 2026, and will visit the headquarters of the aforementioned Organization."The release puts the pope's fifth international trip on the calendar and his fourth in 2026.
